Casa Relvas invites wine tourists to harvest

Casa Relvas invites wine lovers to another edition of its Harvest Program, which will take place at Herdade de São Miguel, in Redondo, Alentejo, from August 20 to September 20.

With the aim of making the public aware of the traditions inherent to the art of harvesting, the company led by Alexandre Relvas once again organizes this initiative, which is part of the wine tourism activity of the Alentejo wine producer. Participants will be able to experience the work carried out by the Casa Relvas team in the vineyard and winery during this time of year.

The program, designed especially for wine lovers, but also attractive for the curious, lasts approximately five hours and includes a walk through the vineyard, identification of grape varieties and sensory analysis of seeds, berries and stalks, and manual harvesting. In addition to these activities, the visit also includes walking – one of the funnest moments of the day – and a must tasting at the Herdade de São Miguel cellar. At the end, visitors can choose to complete the program with a wine tasting and lunch, during which they can taste some typical dishes of the region.

This initiative linked to wine – and the vineyard – signed by Casa Relvas also includes the offer of a ‘harvest kit’, which includes a t-shirt and a hat, so that everyone can ‘wear the sweater’ and, on the one hand, day, to be part of the team, and of the family that is Casa Relvas.

«As of the 20th of August, we will once again welcome all those who want to join the family that is the Casa Relvas team for our Harvest Program, and live this experience with us. The last editions of this initiative had a lot of support and we want to continue to provide these unforgettable moments with friends and family, as we know that we are creating memories that stay», says the CEO of Casa Relvas, Alexandre Relvas. «The objective of this program is to show everyone how our day-to-day works during the harvest season, through activities where it is possible to ‘get your hands dirty’, in this case, the grapes», adds Alexandre Relvas .

The Harvest Program is available for a minimum of 4 visitors and a maximum of 20, for €50 per person (no lunch). The value of the visit with lunch is €80 per person. To make a reservation, it is only necessary to book 72 hours in advance, by emailing enoturismo@casarelvas.pt.

Casa Relvas challenges everyone to participate in this initiative, for a unique and genuine experience in Alentejo lands. Herdade de São Miguel, located about 1h30 from Lisbon, will be open to share the knowledge of the art of harvesting and celebrate local traditions.
